Indiana Live! Casino holds dancer auditions for Mosaic Nightclub and Lounge; veteran choreographer/Colts cheerleader to lead
SHELBYVILLE, Ind. (February 13, 2009) – The Mosaic Nightclub and Lounge, one of six venues at Indiana Live! Casino’s massive 233,000-square-foot facility in Shelbyville opening in March, is looking for women with previous experience to audition for 15 to 20 highly competitive dancer slots.
Auditions will be held this Monday and Wednesday, Feb. 16 and 18, from 6 to 8 p.m., on the third floor at Indiana Downs.
Once Mosaic opens, both full- and part-time dancers will excite and entice guests, mixing things up between choreographed routines and freestyle dancing at this trendy, 2,500-square-foot nightclub inside Indiana Live! Casino.
Conducting the auditions will be Julie Bandy, a veteran choreographer, director and dancer who runs The Julie Bandy Performing Arts Centre in Indianapolis and has more than 34 years of dance experience, including a stint as both a Colts cheerleader and a dance instructor at IU – Bloomington. Bandy will collaborate with long-time Central Indiana DJ Travis Bell to select contemporary hits from the ’80s, ’90s and today that the chosen dancers will perform freestyle and choreographed dancing to.
Dancers who make it past this week’s auditions will be asked to audition a second time at Bandy’s studio on Sunday, Feb. 22.
“This isn’t going to just be dancers dancing,” Bandy said. “We’re looking for style; an image: edgy, sophisticated, sexy and talented.”
Women who plan to audition should be in great physical shape, wear their hair down and audition in a two-piece outfit that includes booty shorts. Tights are optional, and those trying out should wear either tennis or dance shoes.
Indiana Live! Casino will be central Indiana’s premier entertainment destination. Located just 20 minutes from downtown Indianapolis on Interstate 74 in Shelbyville, Ind., Indiana Live!
